Procedure for applying for
family reunification

In order to apply for family reunification in Spain, the following requirements must be met:

1. Legal residence of the sponsor. The applicant must have a residence permit in Spain for at least one year and have applied for renewal for at least another year.
2. Spouse, unmarried partner or children under 21 years of age or children under 21 years of age of the spouse.
3. Financial means. The minimum amount required is 900 euros per month for a family of 2 members (sponsor and applicant) and 300 euros per month for each additional member.
4. Have adequate housing to meet the needs of the applicant and his/her family.
5. Public or private health insurance.
6. Not have a criminal record in Spain and in the country of origin or in the countries in which he/she has resided during the last five years.
